Community Description | |
Meetinghouse Village was founded in 1993 as an independent senior living facility. They are a non-profit, 501(3c) organization that maintains and furthers their mission through rental income and private donations. Meetinghouse Village grew out of the success of our sister facility, Vernon Homes, which was established in 1920 in Vernon, Vermont. In 1993, Vernon Homes’ leadership saw the perfect place for an independent senior living facility, and so purchased Meetinghouse Village, an existing campus with 24 apartments and the adjoining property, which would eventually become the South Campus. A series of expansion projects throughout the 1990s and mid-2000s on both campuses created the Meetinghouse Village of today that offers 86 apartments plus common areas, chapels, and office space. |
