Our full and ever-changing activities calendar offers an expansive choice of enjoyable ways to spend your time. Get competitive with rousing card or board games. Settle in for popcorn and a movie, watch travelogues of fascinating destinations, find inspiration in Bible studies or get creative in our arts & crafts classes. Join a club, work on your physical and mental fitness, attend a mix-and-mingle social or join in on an exciting excursion to such places as Midlothian Mines Park, Virginia House Museum and the Maggie L. Walker National Historic Site. You can be active as much — or as little — as you prefer. Our memory care residents engage in such activities as dancing, cooking, watercolor painting, movie nights or playing trivia games. Maybe you’ll find them getting coffee with a friend, participating in reminiscing chats, exercising their body and brains or taking rides through the scenic countryside. They’re having fun, yes. But each of these activities is part of a carefully structured care program, called the Clare Bridge Alzheimer's and Dementia Program, to help our residents live their best life, even when dementia is advanced. |
