| Located in a quiet neighborhood setting, Pine Acres Rehabilitation & Living Center was originally established in 1964 as Pine Acres Retirement Center. It was built with 27 private and semi-private apartment-like rooms and had the capacity to house 47 occupants. In the mid 1970s, another wing was constructed, adding an additional 25 rooms. It was at this time that Pine Acres Retirement Center became Pine Acres Care Center and acquired a nursing home license from the Illinois Department of Public Health. |
