Infection Preventionist/Wound Care Nurse at Mount Vernon Nursing and Rehabilitation Day Shift Full Time Why should you be an IP Nurse at Mount Vernon Nursing and Rehabilitation? As an Infection Preventionist, utilize your critical thinking skills to implement measures that will protect the residents and staff in your community. You will have the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with residents, staff, and healthcare professionals while utilizing your nursing skills to promote the physical and psychosocial well-being of the residents.
Responsibilities: Infection Preventionist is a licensed nurse who is responsible for implementing and overseeing the infection prevention and control program in the long-term care setting. This role will monitor and track healthcare associated infections, antibiotic utilization, immunizations, and occupational health.
